June 2010 was the year we at Webconnex launched the classic versions of our RegFox, GivingFuel, RedPodium and TicketSpice products. The four products were a huge hit in building online registration, donation, and ticketing forms. For the next 5 years, we served our clients with some of the best products, along with the best customer support. As we’ve talked about before, we love getting feedback from our clients about our products and how we can make each product that much more awesome for them to use. We took their suggestions into consideration, and BEHOLD!!! The new and improved 4.0 system was upon us! Releasing our 4.0 just last summer was a huge success; it turned the heads of our 3.0 clients, potential clients, and even some of our greatest competitors!
We promised our prospective clients that the 4.0 system would be easy to navigate, very user friendly, mobile responsive and have conditional logic. We also wanted to make it new and exciting for our 3.0 clients as we didn’t want them missing out on the fun. Our clients would agree that we have stood by our word and even surpassed what was promised. One of our 3.0 RedPodium clients allowed me to revamp their 3.0 in our 4.0 version using some of the new awesome features to make it more efficient, appealing to the eye and user friendly. Here are some things you will find if you are looking to check out our 4.0 version, no matter which registration platform you’re coming from!

Running an event and registering multiple people, especially when signing up teams, can be a bummer while having to fill out the same fields per registrant. It makes you want to call half of your friends and tell them to sign themselves up! With the new 4.0, we found a way to incorporate a feature where you can fill out the form, and then you have an option to either add another registrant or continue onto the billing. To add a cherry on top, we also have conditional logic! So for example, if you add more than one registrant, you can hide unnecessary fields to make the additional registrant process a piece of cake, not to mention less time consuming.
Yay for Actions: a functionality where you can tell the form what to do based on the selection of fields, date or number of registrants. In simple terms, if you would like fields to hide for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th registrants that sign up on the form, you would simply add an action to hide any fields after the 1st registrant. Or, say you would like certain fields to hide or show on a certain date, and yes this is possible. Needless to say, actions consist of a wide range of possibilities that will blow your registrants away by its seamlessness. In our 4.0 system, we still offer the ability to join or create teams and team captains by the option of entering in a password. So, what’s new you ask? Well, now an event organizer can easily email team captains with a summary of who has joined their team directly within our software. This is an extremely important feature to many events out there. Who doesn’t want their team captains to be able to see who their teammates are?
Something that’s different about the 4.0 system that the 3.0 system lacked was a streamlined and beautiful way to sell Merchandise. Clients are now able to sell their branded merchandise on the form and even upload an image of the item, in addition to limiting the supply, price and description of the item. Clients are now also able to add multiple merchandise options for the user to choose from as well! Clients can now increase their revenue with beautiful product sales displays.
Often prospective clients ask, “Is your site compatible on mobile?” And we can gladly give them a straight YES! Our 3.0 system was mobile compatible to an extent, but it lacked complete responsive design for registrants. Now registrants will be able to see a clean layout of the form on any laptop, desktop or mobile device. Choosing t-shirt sizes or quantities has become easier than ever!
Now that the cat’s out of the bag, we hope to continue to please our 3.0 clients and future clients as well and have both parties stoked on what we’ve created. Getting our new 4.0 version out was more than just an upgrade to our original software, it was more of a solid exclamation point on all that we’ve ever created or accomplished in our line of successes as a company! We can assure that for our product prices and the overall quality of our product and services, our system is nothing short of awesome, to hopefully make the registration process “suck less”.
