While our core team and headquarters are in Sacramento, California, we welcome remote workers from all over the United States.  

We've built a strong culture to foster valuable team relationships with both remote and California team members.

We host frequent trips during the year to bring the team together for extended periods of face-to-face time to build deeper relationships. Some examples of trips include our domestic excursions to San Diego, Newport Beach, and Lake Tahoe. Along with international trips to Costa Rica, Belize, Mexico, and The Dominican Republic.

Role Description

The GivingFuel online donation platform and its accompanying Webconnex products (TicketSpice, RegFox, and RedPodium) are at a critical inflection point of growth. The Director of GivingFuel will be responsible for developing and executing on the strategic plan to deliver on recent investments in the platform.

Operating as the General Manager of the entire GivingFuel business, this role will be the quarterback for the sales, marketing, support, financial and product functions, helping lead the platform to new heights.

The Director of GivingFuel will display visionary leadership and a relationship driven sales strategy. Key success measures include new business growth, customer retention, new feature adoption, strategic partnerships, and the transition to Webconnex payments.

With a deep knowledge of the nonprofit sector and fundraising operations, this role ultimately enables nonprofit customers to accelerate their fundraising and make a greater impact in their communities.

Responsibilities

  • Become the public face of GivingFuel. Record new product demos, host webinars, tutorials, and create compelling content for GivingFuel customers to accelerate their fundraising.
  • Connect to existing customers to provide product updates, share fundraising resources, offer our event products, and prioritize retention.
  • Acquire new customers to GivingFuel through personal demos, phone calls, in person meetings, and other inbound opportunities.
  • Work alongside the wider Webconnex Marketing team to manage the GivingFuel Sales site and brand. Includes a new website build in 2025.
  • Walk alongside the GivingFuel Solutions Team to provide world class support and onboarding to customers.
  • Improve the GivingFuel platform by working alongside the Product and Engineering teams to meet market demands
  • Offer basic financial reporting and learn alongside finance teams to track progress
  • Research and execute on opportunities such as new pricing strategies and marketing resources for customers
  • Build new partnerships with outside organizations or platforms to better serve GivingFuel customers
  • Complete presentations to the Webconnex board of directors on platform progress.

The Type of Person We’re Looking For

  • A deep understanding of the nonprofit sector and the psychology, seasonality, and inner workings of fundraising.
  • 5+ years of direct fundraising experience within a nonprofit organization, or alternatively, 5+ years managing another SaaS platform or sales experience servicing nonprofit organizations, social enterprises, faith based institutions, etc.
  • General understanding of the current online donation platform marketplace and the type of tools organizations are using to accelerate fundraising and operations.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in public speaking, interpersonal communication, and persuasive writing. General marketing knowledge of content strategy, online ads, social media, and email marketing is a plus.
  • Highly relational and winsome attitude to invite organizations to join GivingFuel
  • A software background is not a requirement, but general knowledge of online SASS platforms is welcomed for the purpose of training, retention, and eventual guiding of Webconnex products to customers.
  • 5+ years leading teams and building cultures of success toward common goals
  • Detail oriented and able to manage a project start to finish
  • Dedicated to the wider cultural goals of Webconnex and desire to be impactful across the entire company

Salary & Benefits

  • $90,000 - $120,000 base annual salary with options for annual performance bonuses
