About the job

We're looking for a friendly, tech-savvy, and reliable Onsite Event Support Contractor to be the face of Webconnex at customer events across the country. In this role, you'll be deployed to live events to provide hands-on support using our TicketSpice and RegFox software. You'll help customers check in attendees, manage ticket sales, set up and troubleshoot hardware (like badge printers and scanners), and ensure everything runs smoothly onsite.

This is a part-time, contractor-based role with variable hours depending on event needs. Most events occur on weekends, but occasional weekday travel may be required.

Location

While our core team and headquarters are in Sacramento, California, we welcome remote workers from all over the country. We've built a strong culture to foster valuable team relationships with both remote and California team members.

For this role, you must be located in the U.S. and able to fly to various event locations.

What you'll do

  • Travel to customer events (flights, hotels, and other travel expenses covered by us)
  • Serve as an onsite expert for TicketSpice and RegFox check-in and box office tools
  • Set up hardware like iPads, printers, scanners, and networking equipment
  • Support attendee check-in and scanning operations with kindness, professionalism and speed
  • Manage onsite ticket sales and box office operations
  • Troubleshoot basic tech issues and ensure smooth execution of the customer’s check-in flow
  • Represent Webconnex with a friendly, solution-oriented attitude

What we're looking for

  • Prior experience in events, tech support, customer service, or live production is a plus
  • Ability to learn and confidently use new software and tech tools
  • Strong communication skills and calm under pressure in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
  • Must be comfortable working weekends and traveling regularly
  • Self-starter who can work independently and think on your feet
  • Bonus points for familiarity with TicketSpice, RegFox, or other event software
  • Must be located in the U.S. and able to fly to various event locations

Frequency

Events are sporadic throughout the year. There could be back-to-back events in one week or once every few months.

Pay Range & Perks

  • $20–$30/hour, part-time contractor-based role
  • All travel expenses covered (flights, hotels, meals, etc.)
