While our core team and headquarters are in Sacramento, California, we welcome remote workers from all over the country.  

We've built a strong culture to foster valuable team relationships with both remote and California team members.

We host frequent trips during the year to bring the team together for extended periods of face-to-face time to build deeper relationships.  Some examples of trips include our domestic excursions to San Diego, Newport Beach, and Lake Tahoe. Along with international trips to Mexico, Costa Rica, Belize, and the Dominican Republic.

Primary Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Platform Engineer to architect and scale our data infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise and a proven track record of building robust, performant data systems. This role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on implementation skills to support our growing data needs.

Responsibilities

  • Data Architecture: Design and implement data architectures for tracking and reporting using standardized models to ensure consistency and reliability.
  • Data Modeling: Lead the development of advanced data models and structures that support scalable and efficient data management.
  • Pipeline Development: Build and optimize data pipelines to ensure seamless data flow and process efficiency across the organization.
  • Data Governance: Manage data access controls and governance to maintain data integrity, security, and compliance.
  • Platform Scaling: Drive the scaling of data platforms from initial design through to fully established systems, ensuring they meet evolving business needs.
  • AI Data Architecture: Collaborate with teams to design and implement data architectures that support AI and machine learning projects.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with and support data analysts with our long-term analytics vision, data systems, and internal collaboration process

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of data architecture principles for tracking and reporting with standardized models
  • Advanced expertise in data modeling and structure design
  • Experience with data pipeline development and process optimization
  • Proficiency in managing data access controls and governance
  • Track record of scaling data platforms from initial design to established systems
  • Experience with AI-focused data architecture
  • Experience communicating and collaborating with technical and non-technical teammates

Salary & Benefits

  • $120,000 - $150,000 annually. Opportunity for growth and bonuses.
